first day

Tady jsme videli spoustu kontrastu. Vedle nove opravene budovy blizko k prezidentskemu palaci byla polorozpadla chyse. V nekterych castech mesta byl jeden policajt vedle druheho a v jinych nam mistni radili abychom tam nechodili a radsi jsme si vzali taxika aby nas tou casti provezl. Okolo letali exoticti motyli a rostly zajimave palmy.

Ahoj! First day sounds interesting...I'm going to try to translate what you did on the first day...hehe. I may just give the gist of what you did. I may have understood some things completely wrong! But hey, i'm not Czech nor am i fluent with your language...here goes:

So you finally arrived in Panama City and it was very nice. It was sunny and warm all day at around 30 deg. C. You saw a lot of places in Panama City as you walked towards the city and arrived in an old town. It was very nice there; lots of markets on the side. There were a lot of people selling souvenirs, offering to sell different kinds of things such as 'klobouky', flute, and the like. You went to a Panamian museum, where you saw lots of interesting things. Hence you went off to 'dzungle,' which is an a hill, where you saw a nice view of the town. You then saw the Panama Canal, where there are different things floating around. You think there's really nothing to see there :-). You also saw these creatures that looked like a guinea pig with pretty long feet. There were some exotic butterflies and nice palm trees. Later on, you passed by this crazy guy dressed like a businessman, who was some kind of crazy christian, running around and all (yeah, I definitely understood this part wrong! haha). Your accomodations were reasonably cheap when divided with other people; dinner, accommodations and travel were not that bad. No one there spoke english, so it made it easier to practice your spanish ;-).

Wow, it´s very close! You´re really good :)

And yes, you got the part with a crazy business man wrong :)
I said we were going throught the merchants quarter, which was teeming with life, it was a human chaos in which eveyone yells, runs around and offers something...
